Do I have to be 18 to commission you?
Yes. Minors are not legally allowed to enter a contract or use a PayPal account, so you must be a legal adult to work with us. Please note we will not work with a parent/guardian, we will only work directly with the wearer of the costume. This is to prevent any miscommunications. We apologize for the inconvenience.
What are your working hours?
Monday-Friday, 9-5. One of us has another part-time job, while the other is back in college, so we try to meet 3-4 days a week. Work emails will be answered within the above business hours.
Do you take payment plans?
YES, and we are flexible! We work with each customer individually to set up a payment plan that works for them. Note: Progress on your commission will depend on the consistency and time length of your payment plan.
How do you accept payment?
Square is our preferred invoice method. Paypal may be accepted, pending the circumstances.
Do you do refunds?
The initial down payment is non-refundable, however refunds are available up until construction begins. If you request a refund after construction, you will be issued a partial refund based on how much work was done and materials used. If the costume is completed, no refunds can be issued. If we choose to terminate the project, a FULL refund will be issued, including the down payment.
Do I need a 3 view reference sheet?
It is recommended, but not required. Please see our list of recommended ref sheet artists, located Here!
Do you ship outside of the USA?
Yes, we’ll gladly work with international customers! Please note that shipping will be more expensive to international destinations.
Do your suits have a repair warranty?
Yes! All of our creations have a 1-year warranty for free repairs, adjustments, or alterations. Please note that fixing it yourself or sending it somewhere else will void your warranty (unless discussed with us previously). The warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear. We highly recommend and encourage customers from any time to contact us about repairs, we will try our best to be accommodating.
Am I required to send a DTD (duct tape dummy)?
In order for us to make you a properly fitted costume, we highly recommend a DTD. If you don’t know how to make one, we recommend this tutorial! We will only accept commissions without a DTD on a case-by-case basis.
How much is shipping?
Shipping within the U.S. can range anywhere from $30-$70, depending on your order, and may go up from there for international packages. The cost will be calculated and charged when we send you the suit, so please set aside some money for shipping!
Can you make [insert animal] or add [insert feature]?
Here at Suits You we are always excited about creative and fun challenges! We are able to do any animal you’d like, and if you have an idea for a feature or addition we would be happy to try our best to accommodate.
Can you refurbish an old suit I have?
We take refurbishing projects on a case-by-case basis, so please feel free to reach out to us and we’ll let you know our availability! It is recommended that you get permission from the original creator, as we want to respect our fellow artists’ work. If you have a fursuit from a problematic creator and wish to distance yourself from said creator, we would happily refurbish without permission.
